Fair Use Building and Research (FUBAR) Labs is New Jersey’s First Hackerspace and was first established in New Brunswick in 2009. FUBAR Labs was formed as a non-profit community based organization with the purpose of bringing makers, hackers, and tinkerers together to collaborate and share ideas and knowledge. We are a community of people with common interests such as computers, electronics, DIY, software, technology, science, and crafts. We are an open community offering classes, workshops, study groups, and long term projects.
We are interested in learning about technologies we use in our daily lives - Websites, Apps, Smart Things - Phones, Watches, Fitness Trackers, TVs, Speakers, Lights, Locks, Doorbells.
Some of us are also interested in technologies used by businesses, large and small alike - Cloud Computing, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT).
And above all, we are interested in making it easier for under-represented groups (Women, Minorities) to join the technology world. Our talks may feature Google technology (e.g. Android, Google Cloud Platform, Chrome , Android, Angular, Android Wear, Polymer, PWAs), but may also extend to competitive technologies, products and platforms.
